The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants

I really wanted to see this movie, don't ask me why exactly, I just REALLY wanted to see this movie. I suppose I just still like watching these teenage chick flicks, well I really wanted to see this one in particular. So I finally saw it with my mum.

It was good for light entertainment I suppose. But I expected more yes even from a teenage film. I mainly had a problem with Alexis Bledel and the story (I'm not going into too much detail here.

Firstly Bledel, I mainly associate her with Gilmore Girls (the series itself has gone from bad to worse, I'm surprised they haven't axed it yet), I thought was unconvincing. But I could just be biased, I don't think she is much of an actress.

Secondly, I wanted more from the story, but I suppose this could be more a problem from trying to make an adaptation of a book. There tends to usually be something missing in the movie thats in the book.

I was unsatisfied with each of the characters stories except for Amber Tamblyn's character (pictured left). America Ferrera's story ended the movie, being what I thought the most unsatisfying story of the 4, it made the end of the movie crap.

I give it 2 stars.

Well I believe they aren't showing Gilmore Girls here anymore. But the other day I went to the website of the TV network it happens to be on and the site was talking about what was currently occuring on the show. But then again I was just skimming, can't be bothered to look up and check my info for such a crap show.

Saw this movie too... thought it was a bit too... err... typical I guess... I dunno... Anyways... I agree... I think Amber Tamblyn's story is the best out of all of them... But there are just soo many teenage girls when we went to see the movie it's horrifying!! And we discovered that we went when it is only 1 day left till the school holiday... so... figures... anyways... all in all... it was an OK sort of movie not particularly excellent or I would particularly watch again...

And...

GILMORE GIRLS STILL SHOWING??!? I know I know you already meantioned the reason you know this previously I just thought I want to make some sort of err... dramatic ending... HEHEHE *BIG GRIN

Oh I should clarify I was talking about the American TV network that Gilmore Girls is on. Not the Australian one. I doubt the Australian TV network it used to be on would get the episodes.
