thanx kimmie...

...for reminding me about the rabbit.

At the end of the period in between Simple Plan and Green Day YMCA was played over the speakers. During this song a pink rabbit got the crowd excited (that sounds so wrong). As the woman (not sure if it was m or f, just some long hair showed beneath the head piece when the head was tilted back) skulled 2 bears and got the crowd cheering. I was forwarned about this and other surprises the concert had in stall for us by these people from Queensland. I just overheard them talking about the Green Day concert they saw in Brisbane to another girl. It didn't affect my experience of the concert but it would have been nice if I hadn't known what was coming. These people from Queensland at the barricade were really aggro about anyone that pushed against them, which makes me question why they were even in a mosh pit. I slipped my hand in between them so I could push against the barrier and away from them, and one of them saw me interpreted that as me trying to squeeze through and quickly pushed me off balance. I mean I suppose in a way I acheived my purpose of getting away from them but crying out loud, it seemed they were after me after that. Later I made sure I wasn't standing directly behind them, but since I was only behind a person that was directly beside them, when the girl tried to kick back at the person behind her she got my left shin instead. I still have a lighter version of the black bruise, it has been almost a month now.

Green Day's personalised confetti (which I pocketed) and the song Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) was a fantastic ending to an amazing concert. Though my Livid 2003 t-shirt was sort of ruined. By the end of the night I was drenched in my sweat, other people's sweat and water. I'd say Green Day's concert was the best I've ever been to had I not seen Muse last year.
